Examinations

Assignments

Every subject will have assignments. The candidates have to send their assignments within the specified period. The assignments should be neatly typed and sent to the Registrar’s office before the specified date. Those failing to do so may be denied hall tickets to appear for the semester examinations. Assignments carry 30% of the total marks for that subject.

Semester Examinations

Semester examinations are held at the end of each semester along with the internal candidates. Students appearing for semester examinations will have to produce their hall tickets. The hall tickets are issued to those candidates who have submitted their assignments and completed all dues payable. The semester examinations will carry 70% of the total marks.

Thesis

Candidates enrolled for B.D external program have to write a dissertation on a topic approved by the academic committee. They have to present a proposal for a thesis topic and submit the name of a guide who will supervise him/her in writing the thesis. The guide should have M.Th / Ph.D / Th.D and should submit in writing that he/she is willing to guide the candidate. The thesis proposal should be submitted by the third semester and is subject to approval by the academic committee. The thesis should be of minimum 20,000 words and on a topic not done by a peer. The thesis should be sent by the fifth semester for approval of the academic committee.
